I really like these, the simplicity of the cards is a very nice look. And the tuck box is really cool. Definatly one I'm happy backing! That is, in fact if the designer can do his homework and understand what he is doing! I like the design though!

Hey guys,

My name is Aaron Wales, I am from Canada. I used to be a very common user of the forus here. But I have been away for awhile, but I'm glad to be back on here. I have been away from card collecting for a little while now. Used to be a heavy spender on anything that came out. But I hit a wall and quit buying anything for a bit there. But the addiction has pulled me back lately and I hope to talk more with everyone on the forum.

It looks like alot has changed around here but kept the same basis. Is the forum under new ownership?

Also let me know all your favorite decks from the last 3-6 months so I can get caught up!

glad to be back,
Aaron

PS: I am starting to downsize my collection a little bit so check out my tread in the STISO board! I think there are some very good deals there and I am open to offers

Haven't been following new decks all that much for the last few months and this is the first thing I see...

What have we come to?

You think this is bad, you haven't really looked around yet!  :))

Not my cuppa.  The backs are terrible - they could have done much better than something that looks like an ad slogan from the Pork Industry.
From what I can see I haven't missed too much.

I do like the court cards on these a little. But the deck over all is  :( :-\

Dimensions:

Unpackaged:
30 lbs
6'' tall
21'' wide
4' 1'' long

Packeged (Estimate because I have no box yet)
35 lbs
8'' tall
4'4'' long
24'' wide

I checked fedex and it looks like the cheapest way will be about $160 once I add the box and foam.

Video w
ont upload for the life of me. But I tried the surface again and it does spreads fine, they arn't as easy as on felt but still spread evenly and flip well. Plus you have the added bonus of washability.

You do know that you can't upload anything fancier than an animate gif here, right?  We don't do video!  I forgot, should have mentioned that to you.  I thought you'd upload the video to YouTube or something.
Ya I was trying Youtube and it was saying 130 hours to upload a 1 minute video so I waited about an hour and it was at 1% so I gave up. I can try again in a few days when I get back home.

Well, you posted photos to Photobucket - why not post them here?  Some people are too lazy to click through.  We also never got those pictures of the table folded up.  And while I'm in an interrogatory mood, is the surface some kind of formica or is it felt-covered?

The regular photos for some reason wont post here. (Nevermind there they are)

and I will have the pictures of it folded up tommorow. I had totally forgot because I was on holidays for the last few weeks.

Also the surface is a soft, washable, but durable plastic. It is thin but gives you enough give to easily pick up a card unlike some plastics. I have used on most of my previous tables and I have found it to work very well.

But if you wanted I could also do felt.

The two most common reasons for a file not uploading here are wrong file format or file too large.

The plastic, then, doesn't react like a felt - for example, when spreading a deck and flipping the spread from one end to the other - would this be correct?  But one would have the options to either place a felt table covering there (similar to what's used on gaming tables) or just use a good-sized close-up pad.  This would in some cases make for a better blackjack table!

It doesn't react like a felt no.
I use it because it is washable and you can pick up cards on it.
I will take a video for you tonite when I am taking the folded pictures. Of spreads and other things with the table.

Someone could defiantly use a close up pad or a felt peice.
I could even use felt for the surface when building the table.

Playing Card Plethora / Re: Republic No. 02 from Ellusionist

I fell mixed about this deck.

I have mostly stopped buying new decks just because I have finally realized it is alot more beneficial to put money into my show than countless decks.

But I really like the back design on these,The deck reminds me of the dealers almost too much, even the box is pretty similar.

Personally I like to have 2 identical jokers for transpositions and sandwich effects, and I agree with 10ofclubs that having the reveal can make it harder to perform other better effects.

They are nice cards, but I can do without them.

Also does anyone know if the girl in the video comes with the cards or is that just promo stuff?

Thanks Don, Now its public.

Is it portable/folding?
Ya I can get you a picture of it folded up later it folds flat
