Hello ladies and gentlemen! I, present to you Deck of the Year 2013! For those of you who don't know for the past 2 years Aether has done a Deck of the Year award, hosted by myself, where YOU the people get to vote on a multitude of categories where you pick what deck should win that category! Those of you who are familiar with this sort of thing should understand, for those of you who don't don't hesitate to PM me and I will answer any and all of your questions.

Now, like anything in the world, we have some simple guidelines you have to follow. You may only vote once, you may change your vote but please edit your post, don't make a new one. Please only vote 1 deck for each category. We prefer if you vote for all the categories and not pick and chose which ones you want to vote for. Lastly, please only vote for deck released in 2013! That's why it's called Deck of the Year 2013! Also regarding requests for new categories, once voting has started nothing can really be changed/added, we wanted to keep the battles smaller this year since we were late. If the idea is good thought it will for sure be included in next years!

Well, here's a thought - make a non-voting category of "best new category suggestion" and use the cream of the crop for next year!

John's keeping it simple this year, as we're actually a bit late on it and we didn't want to make the voting process into something really unwieldly to manage in a short time.

Can this be moved into the PCP? Doesn't seem many people are viewing deck battles.

But if that's the case, how did YOU see it? 

It's a deck battle of sorts, and John's doing fine with it.  We're not expecting a huge response this year.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that.  It's early yet and the voting is still close.  A few votes in a different direction and it's anyone's game.

Honestly, I haven't decided for a few reasons.  I did far less deck buying in the past year, and I've been a bit on the busy side tending to other matters, not the least of which being keeping this forum running on an even keel and helping to plan for its future!  And did I mention I have a wife and a stepson that like to see my face every now and then? 

I'll try to get something together before the deadline.

We've never had a sweep such as this.  I would have thought a few other decks would have been mentioned more often, but then again, it was a quick poll and a small sampling of the members voted.  It's kind of like predicting the next US President based the exit polls of the people living on one block of a side street in a town with only one main road.  Either that or modern-day Detroit, since the population's probably about the same by now...
